About Helena

Helena is a contemporary singer and voice educator based in Rhode Island, with over 10 years of teaching experience. Alongside her private studio, Helena is an adjunct professor of voice at Salve Regina University and a music teacher through the Newport Festival Foundation's partnership with the Met East Bay High School. An alumna of Berklee College of Music and a graduate of Rhode Island College, Helena began her professional singing career while still in school. She has performed at events such as the Providence Festival, Rhode Island PrideFest, Pawtucket Arts Festival, and Saint Mary’s Feast. She is a classically trained vocalist with 20 years of choral experience. Helena’s tours featured performances in Germany and the Czech Republic, such as at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, the final resting place of Johann Sebastian Bach. Helena performs throughout New England as a solo artist, with The Sultans (Jerry Bennett Entertainment), and as a session vocalist for Grammy-nominated engineer Alexandr Krepkihk. She also sings with the New York-based semi-professional choir, Vox Lusciniae. In 2021, she was appointed Music Director for the Rhode Island Youth Theatre’s The Ghost Light Project, where she co-directed and arranged the original composition Guide Me Home, featured on WPRI Channel 12. Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Helena is passionate about vocal health research and aims to help both singers and non-singers in overcoming voice disorders.
